Dream Bigger: Why Most Dreams Sound the Same

Dream Bigger: Why Most Dreams Sound the Same

Every morning, I find myself in coffee shops. It's where I map out my entire day, solve problems in my businesses, and strategize long-term moves. And because I’m always there, I can’t help but overhear conversations from the tables next to mine—especially those loud meetings between insurance agents and their clients.

It’s not eavesdropping. I’m just there, sipping my coffee, doing my thing, and their voices naturally fill the space.

And do you know what I always hear?

The same exact dreams.

Again and again.

The agent usually asks, “What are your dreams in life?” And almost every time, the answer is predictable. “I want to own a house. I want to buy a car. I want to retire early and travel the world.” Sure, the specifics vary—maybe two cars instead of one, or a bigger garage, or a different travel destination—but the core dream is the same.

Now, let me be clear. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with those dreams. They’re valid. They’re meaningful. But here’s what I want to challenge:

Why do they all sound the same?

Has it come to a point where we’ve forgotten how to dream authentically? Have we grown so afraid of being different that even our deepest dreams have to look like everyone else’s?

I believe the problem isn’t that we lack ambition—it’s that we’ve been conditioned to want the same things. Somewhere along the way, we stopped listening to that small voice inside our hearts. We’ve ignored the dream God planted uniquely in us, because we were afraid it was too different from what’s normal.

Have we become so scared of stepping out that we’d rather dream safe? Dream familiar? Dream like everyone else?

Let me tell you this—my dream is different. And I’m not saying that makes me better. But I am sure about one thing: I’m not afraid to believe in a dream that doesn’t look like anyone else’s.

Why?

Because I know God placed it in my heart. And chasing that unique dream gives me joy, purpose, and direction.

Now, I want to ask you, Kasosyo—what is your real dream?

If it’s owning a house, buying a car, or retiring early—go for it! But I challenge you to go deeper. Is there a dream inside your heart that’s been screaming for attention? One you keep ignoring because it’s “too different”?

You know what that dream is. And maybe it’s time to listen to it.

Don't be afraid to say it out loud.
Don't be afraid to work on it.
Don't be afraid to be different.

Because I truly believe that the reason you’re not fulfilled might be because you’re not living your real dream.

So to all my Kasosyo out there—I challenge you:

Dream differently.
Dream truthfully.
Dream big.
Dream fierce.

Let’s stop copying dreams.
Let’s start building the ones that truly belong to us.

You’re part of the solution, and your biggest capital is your own dream.

So dream boldly, Kasosyo.
